Farmstand Upgrade Edition

I live where people vacation. Tall trees, wildlife, songbirds and mountains. A dream turned reality over 35 years ago.
With the plus side of the page filled up, one challenge has been finding a flat area on a hillside.
Several projects this year centered on creating level outdoor space. These projects are commonly referred to as B.M.G. (Bring More Gravel). Lately, I wish my portfolio had gravel shares.
The latest area happened because of several trees that were damaged over winter that left a visual gap to the roadway and a neighbor.

Beginning with the slope.
The low corner, 3 feet to grade level.
One more ton load or 2+?
The plan is to have a 10' by 14' level pad with pavers and a road base pathway from the driveway. The area will hold a covered gazabo which can be used year round for enjoyment and my seasonal farm stand.
A work in process, taking it step by step.

All my best,

Deb..💗..

The Farm Stand

This year my little Farm Stand Cupboard came into existence.  It was a start to a bigger dream I've had for several years, but there always seemed to be something that stood in the way of starting.

In February the big plans started to happen and opening day was set for the 1st weekend in June, but the big dream was scaled down due to heavy snow, excessive tree damage, and repairs that followed. I started anyway.

I started with vegetable starts..

Here's the thing.. A work in progress is better than no work at all.

To my surprise and delight, others loved it as much as I did.

Then I added more..

..and more..

The season is turning to Fall now, and even though I could still be open, there is ground breaking news, literally. The hillside is being graded and a platform made for a nice indoor/outdoor stand. I'm hoping for completion before Thanksgiving, (how fitting), and if so, I will be open for all the stuff, plus a few holiday surprises.

You'll find heirloom and award winning recipes made using premium ingredients and batched in small controlled amounts to preserve quality and a wholesome product. Pantry supplies you can trust. Quality handmade goods and vintage finds.

Every item is made or produced on site, or in collaboration with other local farms.

Blue Belle Farm holds a licensed cottage food permit, is a certified producer, and USDA approved for nursery sales.

I hope to see you at the Farm Stand soon.

All my best,

Deb..💗..
